About This Project
This project transformed an outdated residence into a sophisticated contemporary bachelor pad designed around entertaining. The interior balances clean lines and bold contrast with warmth, comfort, and carefully layered detail. Custom joinery, commissioned artwork, and curated finishes bring character to the home, while considered lighting shifts the atmosphere from day to night. Outside, the landscape was reimagined around the preserved travertine pool terrace, creating an easy indoor-outdoor experience.

This contemporary new-build was designed for effortless indoor-outdoor living. The brief called for a home that felt refined and modern while remaining warm, relaxed, and comfortable. A carefully curated palette of natural materials, soft neutral furnishings, warm oak detailing, and tactile textures brings timeless elegance to the home’s simple architectural lines. Expansive open-plan living areas encourage connection, making the home equally suited to family life and entertaining.

About This Project
This full-scale renovation transformed an existing family home into a timeless contemporary residence for modern living and easy entertaining. With strong architectural foundations already in place, the design focused on improving function and deepening the connection between interior rooms and outdoor spaces. A covered patio with a built-in wood-burning braai overlooks the pool for year-round gathering, while a checkered entrance creates a memorable sense of arrival. Bespoke joinery, warm natural wood, and carefully considered detailing bring depth and character throughout.
